The story behind why RipplAI exists - and why we built it the way we did.
The team behind RipplAI spent over a decade working at the sharp end of data-driven marketing for some of the UK's largest consumer goods companies. Our job was helping major brands turn information into decisions - translating complex market intelligence into strategies that moved the needle.
The tools, the strategies, and the expertise we were delivering to large corporations were completely inaccessible to the independent local businesses that make up the fabric of our high streets.
A hair salon owner in Fulham with 16 years of loyal clients and genuinely exceptional work - sitting on 55 Google reviews while a less impressive competitor down the road had 400. A garden centre serving its community for decades, losing customers every week to businesses that simply looked more credible online. A florist with a reputation that travelled by word of mouth for years, invisible to anyone searching Google for the first time.
The gap was not quality. It was visibility and trust - and neither had anything to do with how good the business actually was.
We looked at what was available to independent local businesses and found three options: pay a marketing agency thousands per month and be treated as a small account, buy a software tool and spend hours every week learning to use it, or do nothing and watch competitors pull further ahead.
